  1. I have price checked, how are you able to sell your cars so much cheaper than other retailers?

We have over 100 years of combined experience in the used and nearly new UK car trade, with relationships built up over decades. This allows us to source cars at extremely competitive prices. We also don’t have expensive to run showrooms or a large workforce. All these savings we pass on directly to our customers.

  1. There must be a catch?

There’s no catch. We offer high quality, low mileage vehicle at the lowest prices. We won’t be beaten on price. In fact, we probably can’t be beaten on price.

  1. Are all your vehicles fully HPi checked?

Yes, all vehicles are fully HPi checked prior to being advertised for sale. HPi checks ensure vehicles have no outstanding finance, have not been reported stolen and have not been written off by an insurance company.

  1. You have a car advertised that I am interested in, can I view and drive it before committing to buy?

Simply click on the reserve option on the listing and we will arrange for you to view and test the vehicle. Click on the buy option next to the vehicle you like to buy it right now.

  1. Where can I view the car after reserving an appointment?

We have hand over locations in central, east and north Scotland.

  1. Do I need to pay a deposit to reserve a vehicle?

Vehicles can be reserved for viewing at our hand over locations without deposit. We ask for a £500 deposit to secure the vehicle after viewing. Simply click on reserve to arrange an appointment with your local representative. Click on buy now to pay your deposit and purchase your vehicle.

  1. Do you offer train and airport pick up?

Yes, just let us know when reserving your appointment. We may require a small deposit to arrange this service.

  1. I’d like to buy a car with this type of saving but you don’t have the model / specification I am looking for. Can you help?

Yes, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We will be able to readily source most makes and models quickly with the same great savings.

  1. Can I come along and browse your vehicles?

Viewing is by reserving an appointment only. We are only able to offer vehicles at the prices listed by eliminating expensive overheads such as showrooms and sales people. Our cars sell fast and stock is constantly changing. If there is a vehicle your are interested in, buy now or reserve a viewing today.

  1. Are all Carpoint Direct cars fully serviced?

The majority of our vehicles are low mileage with a full service history. All vehicles are subjected to a pre-delivery inspection before being advertised for sale.

  1. Do all vehicles come with a warranty?

All vehicles are supplied with either the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty or an extended 1 year warranty, whichever is greater.

  1. Is the price I see on the website the price I will pay for the vehicle?

Absolutely. Often people go to buy an advertised car and find there are various other charges on top. Or the specific vehicle advertised is sold but there is a similar car available for £500 more. These practices are called upselling and cross-selling and are used by many of our competitors. WE DO NOT UPSELL, the price you see is the price you will pay. We do NOT charge an admin fee nor do we charge for our warranties.

  1. Do you advertise vehicles you do not have in stock?

No. Again this is common practice with some retailers but we only advertise vehicles which we own or are coming into stock.

  1. Are Carpoint Direct vehicles taxed?

Due to recent government changes, all vehicles now need to be taxed by the new owner. We can assist you with this procedure when you are collecting your new car.

  1. Do you take part exchanges?

Yes, we are happy to accept part exchanges. Our staff have expert knowledge in used vehicle valuation and will be able to value your vehicle on inspection.

  1. What documentations do I need to part exchange?

Just bring along your V5, M.O.T. and service history (if applicable).

  1. How can I pay for my new car?

Acceptable forms of payment are by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal. Please note that we cannot accept cash or cheques.

  1. How do I apply for finance?

You can complete the finance quote and choose the monthly amount and length of term using our easy to use finance tool.

   19.  What should I do if I have a problem or question about my car after I have collected it?

Customer satisfaction is very important to us at Carpoint Direct. We will endeavour to rectify any problem in line with our after sales customer care policy. Your representative will be happy to answer any questions you may have following collection of your vehicle.

   20. What happens if my car develops an issue down the line after purchase?

At Carpoint Direct, all cars are supplied with either the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty or an extended warranty from our warranty partner Warranty Wise. Warranty Wise provide the most comprehensive car cover in the UK which keeps in line with our policy of customer care.
